Another fantastic podcast! Jenny, I think you and I are exactly the same age, and your first section on perimenopause resonated with me - brain fog, waking up at three am, and so on. I am going to read more about Flow State - I am pretty sure I achieve that with stepping. I think that is why I prefer to step for longer that 30-minutes when possible. I enjoyed your discussion about Alyss Yiu. Have you heard about Canadian pairs figure skater Deanna Stellato-Dudek? She returned to skating after a 17-year retirement and just competed in her first Olympics at age 42. Her motivation for returning to the sport came after a work team-building exercise in which she was asked the question “What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?” Both athletes are great examples of finding your passion and pursuing your dreams on your own terms. I am delighted to hear that Kathy Smith and Petra Kolber are such wonderful people in person - they are two of my favourite instructors! And I know Jenny gets all the love, but big thanks to you Tyler for all your work.

This was beautiful Jenny and Tyler. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I intended to watch this for a couple of minutes out of curiosity and ended up listening to the full episode. So many wonderful sections. I too started my home workouts with Kathy Smith and Gin Miller. I really appreciated your comments about the strong connection between mental and physical. I also find that exercising is essential for me mentally as much as physically. I remember your live Covid workouts very well. The quality of the sound and video did not matter to me at all. I just felt joy and relief at being able to connect with someone during those early, difficult days of isolation - those workouts truly were a lifeline for me during a time I was struggling. I can’t thank you enough for that. I am very much looking forward to seeing were you end up filming in Germany, and wish you both all the best in your travels!

Thank you for these fitness snacks! Great idea. While my preferred stepping time is around 45 minutes, today was a hectic day and I didn’t think I’d be able to fit in a workout. Then I thought of these snacks and decided I could at least fit in one of these. It was fun, and I enjoyed seeing how fast the timer ticked by. Thank you!

Another fun one - lots of new choreography and nice music.

Thanks Jenny! Nice way to start the month.

That was just about a near-perfect workout. I cannot name one single thing I would change about it. Fun choreography, the absolutely perfect length, the ideal intensity level and a great background for the scenery. One of my favourites of yours already. Thank you!

Took my first step class in 1996 and have never stopped. I hope to still be stepping for another 30 years! It is hands down the best exercise format in the world. You mentioned joint-friendly, and it is also so easy to modify the intensity up or down depending on the day, or to choose choreography anywhere from the most basic moves to super intricate and dancy, or anywhere in between. Thank you Jenny for offering such a wide range of step workouts for everyone!

No workout brings me as much joy as a great step workout! I was so happy to be able to do this step routine today. All three combos were fun. Just challenging enough to keep my mind focused but still doable - my one miss was when I didn’t follow your cue. Thank you so much for this workout - it hit the sweet spot in terms of having interesting choreography, and it was just the right length! Thanks!!!
