Day 3 done. ✨✨✨

I had never done that before, working out with weights. That was fun. My weights are not so heavy (around 630 gram) but I noticed that is heavy enough for me to start with. I was not getting out of breath, like I get with for example the stepping routine's, but I could feel it in my body, my arms.

When I saw there were a couple of routine's on the menu for today, I wondered if that would be to much for me. But it was more do-able then I expected it to be.

I never get muscle pain the next morning when working out with Jenny. Which is probably thanks to how she structures the routine's and the cool down.

Thanks Paula Noyes. I had a good day. I've added bananas to my shopping list. That's a great idea to experiment with that. I was also thinking this morning to maybe start with drinking a pea protein shake (just plane, no added flavors, with water) before starting my workout (I drink that anyway cause I eat vegan). In the winter I can workout later in the day, which gives plenty of time to eat before and let it settle, but in these months I want to workout early otherwise it's just to warm.

Happy Labor Day to you as well.

Jenny Ford thank you. That is really helpful. I'm open to suggestions from my fellow students as well.

Day 2 done. ✨✨✨

This was intense but I did it, al 36 minutes! The most I did when it comes to stepping is 25 minutes from the 'Total Body Workout Program', the program I was doing before starting the September challenge.

Some reflection I did:

Half way through I took a little water break, which is fine of course, only I sat down when I did that. Not long, not even a minute. But when back on the mat I had lost some of my momentum I could notice. And I wonder if that is because I sat down. So next time I'm going to keep standing to see if that makes a difference when it comes to my momentum and mindset.

I also noticed I found it challenging to keep up with Jenny (on average I maybe was half a movement behind) and my transition from one movement to a different one are not that smooth yet. But I'm not really worried about that. That was the same when I started with the mini to mighty walking program back in January. Eventually I was able to keep up. It's just a matter of practice.

Jenny Ford thanks Jenny. I have re-posted it.

In the States it was probably very early or still in the middle of the night. Over here in the Netherlands it was a little over 11 AM when I just finished day 1! ✨✨✨

Later today my family came to visit, it was my birthday last Friday, so I thought to do it early in the morning so I don't have to workout in the late afternoon after my family has left and when it's probably really warm outside (and inside) because I find such weather more challenging when working out.

I do have two questions. How does Jenny think about working out on an empty stomach (like I just did now)? And how long is it best to wait after eating before working out?

I normally wait at least one hour after eating before working out but sometimes, especially when I (spontaneous) want to work out in the morning, I tend to workout before I eat my breakfast.

Edit: And what about eating (specific) fruit right before or during a workout? I often saw Nadal eating a banana during a match.

Good job! I am in good sportive company.

Haha, show off ;). Well done. Very inspiring.
