Do you! đThe world needs your version, not a copy of someone elseâs. As a brand new, baby fitness instructor, I was taught that it was wrong to use notes when teaching classes. It was looked at as not being prepared. Countless hours were spent practicing and memorizing choreography. When we filmed our first in-studio workout, a very advanced dance-based step workout, with many intricate changes, I practiced 100s of times. So much brain đ§ power went into remembering the moves, I often wonder if having the workout written out would have allowed me to breath a little easier, relax, and communicate with the âparticipantsâ a little more as we filmed.
Now we film Step and Walk workouts all across the world! đ đ On these trips we sometimes film 20-30 workouts. With the way my brain works, if I didnât have notes, these filming trips would never work!Â
Itâs a good life lesson that we arenât made to be like everyone else! Knowing what works for each of us is exactly what we should be doing!Â
Whatâs been your experience with this? Is there anything you do differently than those around you? Would love to hear! âĽď¸
