As we're getting ready to travel to Germany soon to film Step and Walk workouts, thinking back on the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland. It was an incredible location to film right as the golden hour approached. We flew into Ireland that morning, from London Heathrow, and decided to drive straight to the location to film, hoping that we’d have fewer people around. It worked like a charm, but we were racing to finish before we lost daylight.

There’s a fable told that the Giant’s Causeway was created by a giant named Finn MacCumhaill (MacCool), who is said to have had a fight with another giant, named Benandonnera. Benandonner, across the Irish Sea in Scotland, threatened Ireland, and Finn retaliated by tearing up great chunks of the Antrim coastline and hurling them into the sea.

Have you ever been here before? It’s worth a visit as it’s considered the 4th greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom.

Step aerobics wins hearts because it delivers serious fitness benefits wrapped in fun, flow, achievement, and feel-good chemicals. Step is something people genuinely look forward to (and miss when they skip).

When did step win your heart? ❤️

We’ve just released the 12th fitness snack step aerobics session as well as a separate Warm-Up and Cool-Down that you can add to any of the sessions as needed.

Finding time for fitness shouldn't be another stressor in our busy lives. That's why we've created the Fitness Snacks Series – making exercise accessible, enjoyable, and effective in just 10 'bite-size' minutes at a time.

The Science of Fitness Snacks

Here’s the good news: some days we may need to break our exercise into "fitness snacks" throughout our day, we can enjoy the same health benefits while working around our schedule, breaking up our cardio into smaller segments during the day. We’d love to know what you think.

Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. As a certified fitness pro and licensed therapist, I love sharing simple tools like the 4-7-8 breathing method—a quick way to calm your nervous system, reduce anxiety, lower stress, and boost your mood.

Let’s try it together (follow along in the video!):

1 Exhale completely through your mouth with a 'whoosh' sound.

2 Inhale quietly through your nose for 4 counts.

3 Hold your breath for 7 counts.

4 Exhale through your mouth for 8 counts (with the 'whoosh').

5 Repeat 4 cycles.

Use it anytime you need a fast reset—it really works!

How did that feel? Drop a ❤️if you're calmer already, or share your favorite breathing trick below.

Have you worked out in Wicklow Forest, Ireland, with us? It was one of the most mystical, magical, strange locations we set up to film workouts while we filmed 24 Walk & Step workouts all across amazing locations throughout the UK and Ireland. We kept expecting a little fairy 🧚 or leprechaun 🍀 to pop out while visiting there. The ground was spongy and so green! It was very serene.

Once it started getting dark, though, it did feel a little more ominous. 👹

These workouts are some of our community’s favorites here at Freedom Fit. Have you tried them yet? We’d love to know!
