I’ve been doing road races for 20-some years, but am far from being a “pro” - I have learned to accept that I am and always will be a “back-of-the-pack” runner. Still fun being out there, and I hope to keep doing races for a long time. My goal would be to eventually win an age category award by default because I am one of the few in my age category!

To be perfectly honest, this again was a struggle for me. I was continually watching the timer. Probably a sign that I need to learn to “be in the moment” and listen to how my body is feeling in each move. Some moves, such as downward dog and twisting while in chair, felt wonderful. I also liked the “open you heart” move with our hands resting on our heels while kneeling. Thanks again!

Tamara - good luck with your 5K! I have one coming up later this month.

I had much better luck with technology today and completed both workouts. I enjoyed seeing all the runners in the background and was slightly envious of them having such a beautiful spot to run. I don’t do any where near enough core work, so I will have to remember to revisit this one. The pace was great and it moved along nicely. Thanks!

Only made it to the 55% mark before my AirPlay stopped working. I played around with it for the next 40-45 minutes and couldn’t get it working again, so I gave up. Too bad - I had been enjoying today’s workout!

Training both upper and lower body on the same day was great, although sometimes I like the option to do splits. I like how this challenge has been set-up so far - one upper body, one lower body, and one day combined. Thanks!

I have to admit, today was a struggle for me. I was constantly watching the clock - probably a sign that I need to work on learning to slow down and listen to my body in the moment. I also snuck in a short step workout.

At first glance, today seemed a bit overwhelming with the three lower body workouts, but the time flew by and they were all a nice compliment with one another. Thanks!

Lisa - I remember Charlene Pickett’s It Figures! I used to do her step ones all the time. She is the one who first got me interested in step. I remember the episode where one of her background friends was stepping on a homemade wooden platform. I showed my dad and asked if he could make me one. Instead, he bought me a real step, which I still use to this day!
