Here’s a clip of our first Freedom. Fit Podcast: Episode One. This will be a space for honest conversations on fitness, mental health, wellness, grief, overcoming challenges, and exciting updates from Freedom.Fit.

This first episode is a little more personal, as an introduction to get to know us a little better, the wife/husband team behind Freedom.Fit. Excited to hear what you think.

*Edited to add the first episode is up here on the App here under Vlogs & Podcasts: https://video.freedom.fit/programs/the-freedomfit-podcast-episode-one-with-jenny-and-tyler-ford-02-08-2026

Jenny here! Quick update: plans shifted, and we’re now heading to Germany 🇩🇪 to film the next Step and Walk Workouts Across the World, 92–100! So excited to visit this amazing country. Where should we film? Drop your ideas for Germany in the comments—it would mean the world to hear your ideas. We'll be moving fast, and only have about 2 weeks to cover 9 different locations. Also, are you in Germany? Let’s meet up! ❤️

Hi Mary Schaffer that is such a great question. Thank you for asking. The best rule of thumb is to measure what feels heavy to you. If you are doing an upper body exercise with 3 pounds for example, and by the time we finish the set of 8 you feel like, “wow that was too easy”, you can always try a little more weight next time. Or if you finish the upper body exercise and you can barely lift the weight as we finish the set of 8, you’ll know to decrease the weight. This way you can listen to your body and increase or decrease as needed. It’s always good to start out lighter at first and really get a feel of good posture (bracing your core) and slowly build up the weights as you’re comfortable.

So happy you’re enjoying the February Fitness Challenge and absolutely love that you’re making it work for you. Let me know if I can answer anything else, or clarify anything. ❤️
