Do you! 🌟The world needs your version, not a copy of someone else’s. As a brand new, baby fitness instructor, I was taught that it was wrong to use notes when teachingĀ classes. It was looked at as not being prepared. Countless hours were spent practicing and memorizing choreography. When we filmed our first in-studio workout, a very advanced dance-based step workout, with many intricate changes,Ā IĀ practiced 100s of times.Ā So much brain 🧠 power went into remembering the moves, I often wonder if having the workout written out would have allowed me to breath a little easier, relax, andĀ communicate with the ā€œparticipantsā€ a little more as we filmed.

Now we film Step and Walk workouts all across the world! šŸŒ šŸŒŽ On these trips we sometimes film 20-30 workouts. With the way my brain works, if I didn’t have notes, these filmingĀ trips would never work!Ā

It’s a good life lesson that we aren’t made to be like everyone else! Knowing what works for each of us is exactly what we should be doing!Ā

What’s been your experience with this? Is there anything you do differently than those around you? Would love to hear!Ā ā™„ļø

Tell us your secret! If you work out in the morning, do you do anything special to prepare yourself for your workout the night before to make sure it gets done the next day? We’d love to hear any tips or tricks you have. And what’s on your workout schedule today?

That’s a great question Kristen. We don’t have a video showing a slower version of these moves. Oftentimes I suggest trying to do whichever combo is a little trickier, a few times in a row. So fast forwarding to the 3rd combo, and doing it over and over until it clicks. We’ll usually start with a base move, and progress to the next sequence step by step. So repeating it a few times might help to get it to sink in. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Which workout location for our Step & Walk Across America šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Program would you like to have changed? It was an amazing feat to get to all 50 states to film workouts, but we were working under budgetary and time constraints. And a good portion of the program was filmed right after the COVID lockdown. It would be fun to hear which locations you’d like us to re-do. So far we’ve redone the first workout for both Step & Walk Across America. Thanks for your input!

Yes that’s correct. It’s a warm-up, 2 weight sections, and a cool down. Hope that helps 😊

So happy you’re enjoying that feature! Thanks for letting us know Holly Epke ā™„ļø
